France

I've been in Nantes for about a week and a half and I'm still settling in/figuring out what sort of life I will lead for the six months that I'll be living here. I'm about ten coat hanger (and the keys to my bike lock) short of transforming my studio from a white box to something not too depressing (post to come). I the meantime enjoy the following video, which I made after three days of French class.
FC Nantes match tomorrow evening! Go Les Canaris!

  1. That video is so neat! You're already a French-speaking champ!

  2. Hey, I'm volunteering in a 6th Grade French class, Caroline, so your blog and videos can inspire me to try out a few terms. My path toward near-vegetarianism can use some inspiration, too.

Is the weather there good for soccer? Nous avons eu une jolie neige hier.

  3. Hi Gma,
The weather is getting better. When I arrived it was -5C covered in snow, but that didn't last long and we're back to reasonable weather (like 50F). I don't know that I can be much inspiration for your path towards vegetarianism, since I'm walking that road in the other direction. (I eat everything except pork now.) We only have french once a week, but I try to speak with the people on the handball and ultimate teams, but it is verrrry bad.
